Maman Brigitte, in Haitian Vodun, is the wife of Baron Samedi, the death aspect of Eshu.  Because she is a healer of conditions that require the death or shrinkage of cells or germs to cure, I like to make hat pins that represent her.  These can be used both as goth accessories and healing, and protection pins for dolls/poppets.

One little known way that Maman Brigitte is helpful is in weight loss.  If you need to lose weight, you stick the pin in the pancreas area of the doll.
