Evil Eye Removal and Protection

Evil Eye Removal and Protection

If you are a beautiful, successful, or happy person, others may look on you with jealousy or possessively.  They may not intend to harm you, but their ill will adds up, and can lead you to have a psycho-spiritual condition called the “evil eye”.

There are many things one can do to remove the evil eye from themselves, but there is only so much a person can give or do for others without becoming a pushover or martyr.  If the reasons for people’s jealousy or possessiveness are your natural beauty, talent, or joyful nature, you certainly can’t undo those things without harming yourself.  So we have a few options for this.

First, there is the simple Eshu/Elegua/Exu charm for day to day wear:

Eshu Protection Cowrie Charm

Product name: Eshu Protection Cowrie Charm
Price: $7.50

Or if you are committed to Vodun and regularly light candles or do other observances, you may want to get the Eshu Nkisi box set.  It comes with the macuto style amulet as pictured below, an herb pack, and a box for storage or placement on your altar.

Eshu Macuto

Product name: Eshu Nkisi Box Set
Price: $55.00

If you often have to deal with jealousy from others, an amulet may not do the job though.  In such a case, you may want to consider a protection ceremony.  A ceremony serves two purposes, the first, to show your commitment to the desire to get rid of the accumulation of negative energy, and second, to do something positive for the Spirits who have given you the gifts you have.  It’s a way of thanking them and asking that they continue to look out for you in the future, and protect you from the ill will as well as the actions of people who intentionally or unintentionally try to thwart your progress.

The standard ceremony that is specific to the removal of the evil eye and protection from jealous people involves a food offering to Eshu of three roosters, a pot of black eyed peas, fruit, sweets, oil, incense, rum, dancing, and chanting.  We take photos of the offering, so you can see that it was done.

With your ceremony, you will of course get readings about your situation, and what you may need to look out for.  You also get amulets made from the ashes of the immolations and incense burned during the ceremony, and hand carved mirror glass amulets with protection symbols.

There is no time limit for how long the protection will last, so long as you follow the instructions, but it is advised that you have a ceremony done at least once a year.  The best times for this are the beginning of each month.

Product name: Evil Eye Protection and Removal Ceremony
Price: $300.00

We do ceremonies for other purposes too.  There are also our normal offerings and observances that we do for our community.  If you have other concerns, of if you cannot afford to have a full specific ceremony done for you, and want to add your issues to our normal schedule, please use our Readings and Rootwork form to make your request.

Papa Legba Elegua Eshu Exu Protection

Product name: Papa Legba Protection Pendant
Price: $7.50

Product name: Papa Legba Protection Gris-gris
Price: $12.50

This is one of our most popular small items.  It’s very inexpensive, and you get a big shipping discount for ordering more than one.  They’re each hand made, and you have a choice of the standard or mini-bocchio (gris gris) version.  The difference is that the bocchio version is packed with Elegua friendly items and charged up with energy during our Friday meeting.  Three years after receiving it, you should bury it at a crossroads, and hopefully get another.

This is a nice pendant, but it can also be used as a pendulum or a door hanger or an ornament for your rear view mirror in your car.  Papa Legba’s protection face in red and black is also a symbol of true gender equality and balance, and men’s rights.  Many Gnostic Christian and Pagan men’s rights advocates and promoters of true feminine strength have begun to wear Elegua necklaces to signify their parting from both the mainstream and overly self defeating conservative beliefs.  This is because of the many patakis (legends and parables) in which Elegua tests men’s manhood and women’s womanhood.  When there are moral gray areas, Elegua makes things clear.

This is a constant item, and can be custom made if you prefer a different design.  Some examples are making it all brown or silver gray, or black and white.
