This pendant was inspired by the Norse deity known as Odin, who lost his eye. Though wounded, he remained powerful. It symbolizes wisdom and foresight, and endurance to overcome life’s difficulties.
The eye is surrounded by runes and four glass stones. Then the whole thing is surrounded by the Uroboros symbol.

These pendants are made from natural conus shells, biwa pearls, and garnets and measure between 2.5 and 3cm. They are made in reverence to Yemaya, the Mother of all life on Earth.
In the Vodun creation story, the creation of the Universe happened in phases. The Supreme God created the Universe in a grand explosion of energy (the “big bang”) and along with it “birthed” the first Orishas. In the Gnostic tradition, these would be called the Archangels.
The Supreme God then assigned some of them to manage the environments and create life on their respective planets. Yemaya is the one in charge of Earth, and birthed life from the sea. So she is both the Mother (though not the Supreme Mother) and the Orisha of the seas.
